The UT Mens Golf Team posted a final round score of 295 moving from 19th to 12th place at the conclusion of the stroke play portion of the NCAA Championship Golf Tournament. The top eight teams advance to three rounds of match play to determine the team championship. Match play commences on Friday. The 295 effort of the Longhorns was one of the stronger team efforts of the third round but it was not enough to advance to the match play portion of the tournament. Team scores are posted below and individual scores can be viewed by clicking on the team links.
UCLA finished first, followed by Georgia Tech, Oklahoma State, Illinois, Georgia, Ohio State, Augusta State and Duke. Texas A&M finished in 9th.
Dylan Fritelli finished low for the Longhorns with 220, followed by Cody Grible at 225, Toni Kakula at 225, Julio Vegas at 229 and Bobby Hudson at 230.
John Peterson from LSU won the indivudual title with a 5 under part total of 211. Dylan Frittelli's 220 total was good for a tie for 20th place.
