Kody King Takes Lead In Austin Mens City Championship at Seven Under Par

Three players are at five under par including Jordan Cowart who shot 67-71, Jonathan Alden who shot 67-71, and Charlie Laudermilk who shot 74-64.  Laudermilk and Joe Beck III made strong showings in the second round with 64 and 65 respectively.  Laudermilk made seven birdies and no bogies while Beck III's round included an eagle and eight birdies.  Click here to see their comments on the round. 

Blake Stasiunas, who shot 70-69, and Aaron Kaiser, who shot 69-70 are at four under par, three shots back of King.  Drew Bell, recent winner of the Central Texas Amateur Championship at Forrest Creek, Mike Allen, who recently finished second in the Firecracker, and Seth Stuart, who plays for the College of Charleston are four shots back at three under.

76 players made the cut at nine over par. The third round is at Roy Kizer on Saturday. The scoring average at Morris Williams was 79.23 in the first round and 79.50 in the second round.  The scoring average for Lions Municipal was 76.66 in the first round and 75.15 in the second round. 

Charlie Laudermilk led the field in the category of most pars and birdies with 91.7%, followed by Jonathan Alden with 88.9% and Mike Allen with 88.9%.  Price Ferchill lead the field with 11 birdies through two rounds with Joe Beck III, Michael Goldwater, Blake Stasiunas and Seth Stuart close behind with 10 birdies apiece.  See all the player stats, course stats, and a complete review of scores at the tournament results page.
