First round play in the Harvey Penick Junior Golf Tournament begins today, Tuesday July 31st at Austin Country Club. The tournament is named after the famed Harvey Penick and is hosted at Austin Country Club. It is an AJGA event, which for those readers not familiar with junior golf, means that the American Junior Golf Association is running the event and that players must have qualified to compete. It is in essence the national tour for junior golfers.
There are a number of players from the greater Austin area entered in the tournamnent, both boys and girls.
