Peach Reynolds, fresh off a quality performance at the 2013 Austin Men's City Championship, continued his excellent play by shooting 68 at River Crossings Golf Club to win the medalist honors in the U.S. Senior Amateur qualifier being held at that course. Reynolds captured one of the two spots in that qualifier with the other going to Harry Rameriz of San Antonio who shot 70.
Several other Austin players were in the field. Phillip Vescovo of Austin tied with three other players at 73. The playoff for the 1st alternate position was captured by Ron Kilby, also a part time Austin resident.
Best of luck to Peach in the senior Amateur that will be held September 21-26 at Wade Hampton Golf Club in Cashiers, North Carolina.
