Robby Ormand picked up his first victory on the Adams Pro Golf Tour by shooting 67 in the final round to win the Gateway Buick GMC Classic in Garland, Texas. His back nine 32 in the final round resulted in a ten under par total for the four rounds, good enough for a two shot victory. The victory earned him $15,000.
Ormand, a former Austin Men’s City Champion and winner of the Firecracker Open still resides in Austin and has been a professional for several years. This is his second professional victory.
Former Texas Longhorn Julio Vegas finished 5th in the same tournament.
