Stratton Nolen, a former Westlake Golfer who now plays for Oklahoma State University, shot 69-66=135 to post a seven under par total and grab a three shot lead headed into the third round at Brook Hollow Golf Club in Dallas Texas.
Robert Evans, Taylor Termeer, Steve Paterson and Dillon Van Essen of Austin all made the cut. Logan Boatner, who lists Humble as his home town but has Austin ties, also made the cut.
Nolen combined four birdies with bogies his first round 69 along with seven birdies and two bogies in the second round 66.
