Haley Haught, who is a member of the successful St. Edwards Women’s Golf Team, shot five under 67 in the final round of the Austin Women’s City Championship to finish at six under for the tournament and in a tie with Neisy McDonald. She then won the championship in a playoff with a birdie on the second hole
Haught combined eight birdies with a triple bogey on the ninth hole in route to her five under round. McDonald was more consistent, having posted 69-69 to get to six under for the tournament. However, she finished in dramatic fashion, making eagle on 17 and birdie on 18 to reach the playoff.
The quality of the field was excellent and all the scores are available. Congratulations to all the players and thanks to the City of Austin Golf Department for hosting this tournament.
