Reese Ramsey, who plays on the Westlake High School boys golf team, shot a ten under par 61 in the final round of the AJGA Hale Erwin Junior golf tournament to set a new course record and capture the championship by two shots.
After posting 75-68 in his first two rounds on the Common Ground Golf Course in Denver, Colorado, Ramsey entered the final round eight shots behind the leader. After shooting 31 on the front nine he moved into contention. Ramsey then proceeded to birdie 10, eagle 11 and birdie 13. After a string of pars he birdied the 18th hole to post five under par 30 on the back nine and 61 for the round.
