Chris Hartenstein fired a 65 to grab the early lead in the Firecracker Open. Steve Patterson, Ripley McWilliams, and Joe Bendetti fired 67 to trail by two. There were several 68's, 69's, and other sub par rounds.
Perhaps the best news was that most groups played in 4 hours and fifteen minutes or less. Ten minute start times in threesomes and qualification rounds proved to be a winning combinations and all concerned were pleased with the pace of play.
