Kody King Leads Austin Mens City Championship By Two Shots Headed Into Final Round Sunday

Kody King posted  70-66-70, 8 under par to take a two shot lead into the final round of the Austin Mens City Championship.   King bogied the first hole of the third round at Roy Kizer,  then added birdies at 2, 6, and 10 before a bodie at 15 and pars at 16-18 to post a one under par 70 for the day. See his comments about the round here.

Alex Ellis, who plays for the College of Charleston and who won the Firecracker Open July 4th,  posted the second low round of the day with 67.  He is playing with a lot of confidence and will be a factor in the championship's final round.

Johathan Alden and Charlie Laudermilk started the day at -5 but posted 75's on Saturday to finish at 1 under par for three rounds. They will need a strong showing Sunday to contend for the title.  Shown here is Laudermilk.
