About the YMCA Partner of Youth Campaign (POY)
More than 40,000 individuals and families will benefit from financial assistance funds raised during the YMCA of Austin’s 2012 POY campaign. These kids and families will be able to participate in YMCA programs, regardless of their ability to afford the fee.
Contributors to the POY Campaign help the YMCA provide a wide range of programs and activities for families who cannot afford the cost. Programs supported by POY funds include:
Afterschool Child Care and Academic Enrichment programs
Youth Sports and Physical Education programs
Swimming lessons and Water Safety programs
Health and fitness programs for youths and adults
Programs for the disabled and those living with chronic illness
Summer and Holiday Day Camp
YMCA memberships
The impact also extends far beyond the YMCA as well, enabling the Y to collaborate with many other community organizations by providing facilities, programs and services at no cost or reduced cost.
Contributions to the YMCA of Austin Partner of Youth fund are accepted year-round. Persons interested in contributing campaign can visit www.austinymca.org or call YMCA Vice President of Development Jim Pacey at 322-9622 x134.
