The UT Men's Golf Team posted a 292 in the final round of the Norman Oklahoma Regional Championship to finish 2nd and advance to the NCAA Championship Tournament at Riveria Country Club May 29-June 3rd. Texas finished even par for the tournament, four strokes behind Washington. The top five teams in the regional tournaments advance the the finals. See all the regional tournament scores at this link.
In the final round, Cody Gribble shot 71, Dylan Fritelli posted 73, Jordan Spieth and Tony Hakula posted 74 for a combined total of 292, four over par. Washington, the winning team of the regional tournament posted +5 for the day and finished at -4 for the tournament, four shots ahead of Texas.
Chris Williams of Washington captured the individual title at seven under par, one shot ahead of Thomas Pieters of Illinois and four ahead of Daniel Berger of Florida State. Dylan Fritelli and Jordan Spieth finished at T7 with a one over par total of 217. Tony Hakula was T10 at 218 and Julio Vegas was T15 at 219.
