Jordan Spieth shot two under par to lead a solid team effort and advance to the match play portion of the NCAA DI National Championship Tournament. After a 2nd round 79, Spieth shot 69 in the 3rd round while teammates Dylan Frittelli shot 72, Julio Vegas posted 71 and Cody Gribble shot 72 to post a team total of even par in the third round of medal play. The even par total gave the Longhorns a third place finish in the medal play portion of the tournament.
In the round of eight, scheduled to take place on Friday, Texas will face the 6th place finisher Washington, who finished four shots behind the Longhorns in the medal play portion of the tournament. Play begins at eight AM Pacific time. Follow the action at this link.
