Alamo Heights took a substantial lead after the first round of the Region IV-4A Boys Regional Golf Championship posting a 294 total at Briggs Ranch in San Antonio. Cedar Park is in second at 303 and Vandergrift is in third at 308. The top two teams advance to the state playoffs in Austin.
Jordan Sanders of Cedar Park shot 71 and is in second place in the individual scoring, two shots behind the leader Levi Valadez of Alamo Heights, who posted 69. William Martinez of Vandergrift is in 6th with 74 and Charles Kim of Cedar Park is 10th at 76.
