Lake Travis won both the Boys and Girls state 5-A Golf Championships at Morris Williams Golf Course in Austin, Texas. The boys staged a significant comeback victory by posting an eleven under par team total in the second round to overtake Mansfield and win by five shots. J. Ezell shot 31-35=66 to lead the effort, followed by Klein Klotz's 69 and 71's by Liu and Hearn.
The Girls, who lead after the first round, posted a second 299 team total to win by seven shots over Austin Westlake.
In the Boy's individual medalist race, Klein Klotz finished tied for second at -4 139 then won the playoff for the runner-up title by making a hole in one on the third hole of the playoff.
In the Girls individual medalist race, Sierra Sims finished in second place at three under par, three shots behind T. Coleman, who birdied the last three holes to post 67 in the second round for a total of six under par.
