UT Men 3rd With One Round Left In NCAA Regional Golf

The University of Texas Men's Golf Team is in third place with one round left to play at the NCAA Regional Golf Championship being played at the Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  After posting a first round team total of 285, good for second place, the Longhorns shot 298 in the second round and dropped to third place at seven over par.

Arkansas is leading at three under, followed by Illinois at two under par.  Texas is third at seven over, Oklahoma State is in fourth at 14 over and  Kent State is fifth at fifteen over.  Final round play concludes today, Saturday May 18. 

The top five teams from each of the six NCAA D1 regional golf tournaments will advance to the national championship tournament.  The UT Men's Golf Team is the current defending national champion.

The individual lead is shared by three players at four under par including Mario Clemens of SMU, Austin Cook of Arkansas and Mitchell McLeroy of Stephen F. Austin State

Individual scores for the Longhorns through two round include:
Cody Gribble  – 70-74
Brandon Stone – 72-74
Kramer Hickok  – 74-74
Julio Vegas – 78 – D
Toni Hakula – 75-76
