Peach Reynolds of Austin shot 76-72 and finish T9 in the stroke play portion of the 59th U.S. Senior Amateur Championship at the Wade Hampton Golf Club in Cashiers, North Carolina. After a rain delay the first day Reynolds completed his play in excellent condition for the match play portion of the tournament.
However, in the round of 64, Reynolds ran into Alan Small of New Jersey who played two under par for the match and closed out Reynolds 3&2. Click here to see the scorecard of the match.
Reynolds shot 68 at River Crossings earlier to win the qualifier by several shots. His play this seaon has been elevated and he finished as the low senior in the Austin Men's City Championship with a three under par total.
