For the past several years Randy Reynolds, Steve Paterson, Robert Evans and others have provided the Austin golfing community with a ranking of Austin amateur golfers based on their play in a selected tournaments. These include local tournament, tournaments hosted by the Texas Golf Association and the USGA.
Their labors have provided the local golfing community with a valuable service and contributed to the participation rates in local tournaments. Their points ranking system provided the basis for the selection of the Austin Team in the I-35 Rudy’s cup, which is a Ryder Cup format.
