Paterson Leads Fell By One After Two Rounds Of Men’s City Championship

Steve Paterson is still the man but he’s got company.  Paterson followed up his first round 67 at Morris Williams with a three under 68 at Lions Municipal and heads into the third round one shot clear of the field.

photo(2)Hagen Fell, who shot 69 at Morris Williams in the first round, posted a four under 67 at Lions Municipal to pull within one shot of Paterson.  Shown here relaxing at the “Cut Party” skills challenge at Lions, Fell says this is the first summer he’s played a full competitive schedule and is finding his form.

Another shot back is the defending champion Daniel Northington, who also posted a second round four under 67 at Lions Municipal.  Jordan Sanders from Cedar Park is another shot back at five under.

In the Senior category, Chris Hartenstein is at three under after shooting 72-68.  Jerry Thorn is one shot behind him at two under after posting 71-70.  Thorn shot three under on the back nine at Morris Williams to move into contention.

Third round play continues at Grey Rock on Saturday.  The final round will be at Roy Kizer.
