Erin Fahey made four birdies on the front nine and two on the back to card a five under par 67 in the final round and win the Austin Women’s City Championship with a two day total of four under par. Her four under par total was two shots better than runner Maggie Cowart’s two under par total and three ahead of Ashley Rollins, who finished at one under.
Fahey was one over par after the first round and not a likely candidate to win the overall championship as there were several accomplished players ahead of her. But the strength of the 67 was enough to get the job done while the defending champion Haley Haught and first round leader Neisey McDonald struggled.
Nancy Kromar won the senior division by 14 shots over Michaelyn Farmer. Kromar shot 74-71 for a one over par total. Teresa Phillips was third.
