With the Firecracker Open two weeks away, non exempt players are attempting to secure a spot in the tournament. In order to do so, they must play in one of the two qualifying events at Lions Municipal Golf Course. The first of those qualifying events was completed Saturday. The second will be held on Monday. The categories of exempt players for the 2016 Firecracker includes the following: 2016 Austin Mid Am Champ, 2016 Lions Spring Partnership Champs, 2016 Hill Country Am Champ, 2015 Austin City Champ, 2015 Austin City Jr. 16-18 Division, Top 30 from 2015 Firecracker, Top 20 2015 City Championship, Firecracker Past Champions, 2015 San Antonio and Austin Rudy’s I-35 Cup Team:
