Under very windy conditions, the Lake Travis Boys, lead by Joe Beck's 73, took the lead in the 2011 state 4-A golf championship at Jimmy Clay Golf Course in Austin, Texas. Julia Beck's 73 led the Lake Travis Girls Team to position themselves within striking distance of the Girls Montomery team, a powerhouse in 4-A Girls competition.
