Robbie Ormand finished at 8 under par to capture fourth place in his highest finish on the Adams Tour . The Mary Bird Perkins Merrill Lynch Open, held at the Santa Maria Golf Club in Baton Rouge saw Ormand open the final round by holing an 8 iron from 150 and going on to shoot 6 under par 30 on the front nine. This lead to a tournament low 65 and leapfrogged him to a 4th place.
Ormand has been working with Joe Caruso of San Antonio on swing changes and says he is encouraged by the progress. Ormand picked up $4,620 for the finish.
