In the U.S. Junior Amateur, being played at the Golf Mountain Olympic Course in Bremerton Washington, Stratton Nolen shot 76-75 = 151 and advanced to match play. He faces Emilio Maurer of Mexico in the round of 64 at 12.24 P.M. on Wednesday. 
Maurer completed the stroke play portion of the tournament in 145 strokes and is seeded 14th in the match play brackets. Nolen is seeded 51st. See the full field scores here
Mariana Sims shot 74-81=155 in the stroke play portion of the U.S. Girls Junior Championship at Olympia Fields. C.C. (South Course) in Illinois. 
Alexandrea Rossi's two day total for the stroke play was 161. The cut to advance to match play was 154.
The field, although predominately composed of players from the U.S., was international in it's flavor with players from Thialand, China, Philippines, Argentina, Canada, Korea, and Mexico.
