The Horseshoe Bay Invitational begins play Saturday on Slick Rock Golf Course in Horseshoe Bay. The 36 hole individual stroke play tournament will include one round at Slick Rock and a round at Ram Rock.
This year's tournament will include players from Austin and San Antonio and feature one of the stronger fields in area competition. Included in the field are:
- Kody King, current Austin City Champion
- Steve Paterson, current points leader in the Austin Amateur Golf rankings
- Tayler Termeer, former Lake Travis standout and current UT Men's Golf Team member
- Nicholas Cristea, former HSB Invitational Champion
- Peter McGibney, current Harvey Penick Invitational Champion
- Drew Bell, current Central Texas Amateur Champion
- Adam Lowe from San Antonio
- Ron Hackleman, Senior Division winner of Harvey Penick Invitational
- Gene Roe, former San Antonio City Champion
- Steve Trafton, current Austin Senior Champion
- Joe Beck III, former Lake Travis standout and current Rice Men's Golf Team member
