St. Edwards Finishes 13th in NCAA DII National Championship

The St. Edwards Men posted a final round team total of 303 to fall from 8th to 13th place in the NCAA DII National Championship Golf Tournament being held at the Cardinal Club Golf Course in Simpsonville, Kentucy.   Jose Hernandez shot even par to finish the tournament at +3 while Santiago Quinterro added a 75 to go with 78's by Logan Boatner and Enrique Livas.  Luke Kwon, who had been the Hilltopper's low scorer in the first two rounds, posted 80 and was not included in the day's team total.

Chico State won the Championship with a 13 under par total for the tournament. Nova Southeastern was four shots behind at -9 while Central Oklahoma finished at -8

The individual championship was decided in a playoff in which Josh Creel from Central Oklahoma bested Jim Knous of the Colorado School of Mines with a par on the 18th hole.  Josh Hernandez's 219 total placed him in a T33 in the overall individual standings.
