2012 More Than A Game Celebrity Golf Tournament

Benefiting The First Tee of Greater Austin

AUSTIN, TX (October 31, 2012) ­— The First Tee of Greater Austin (TFTGA)is pleased to announce the 11th annual More Than A Game (MTAG) Celebrity Golf Tournament on November 12, 2012, at Barton Creek Resort, presented by Austin Asset Management.

Honorary Co-Chairs of MTAG this year include Julie and Ben Crenshaw, Lacey and Huston Street, and Diann and Jay Watson. Celebrity participants for the tournament include Ben Crenshaw, San Diego Padres pitcher Huston Street, musician Bob Schneider, stand-up comedian Rodney Carrington, ‘Friday Night Lights‘ actor Brad Leland, and many more. More Than A Game will kick off on Sunday evening with More Than A Party, the annual pre-tournament event. This year will feature live music by Wheeler Brothers, fantastic food, and a one-of-a-kind auction.

The individual entry fee for the tournament is $1,500, and foursome sponsorships begin at $5,000. All golfing individuals and foursomes recieve tickets to More Than A Party, where celebrity captains will be assigned to each foursome.

Every $500 raised through this event allows TFTGA to provide mentorship and character-building education to a child for a full year. Over the last year, TFTGA has served more than 5,000 children in Greater Austin. With the support and active participation of the community in MTAG, TFTGA can reach even more kids in 2013.
