The Westlake Girls Team posted a 320 team total to obtain the lead after the first round of the Region II-5A Regional Golf Tournament in Waco, Texas. They are two shots ahead of Allen and three ahead of Lake Travis headed into the final round today.
Kristen Gillman of Lake Travis and Maddie Szeryk of Allen share the individual lead at even par 72. Sierra Sims of Westlake is two shots back at 74.
Rain has delayed the starting times until 11:00 a.m. when there will be a shotgun start.
