The Austin Vandergrift Girls Golf Team posted a team total of 329 to take the first round lead in the Region IV-4A Regional Golf Championship, being played at the Golf Club of Texas at Briggs Ranch in San Antonio.
Cedar Park recorded a team total of 340 to secure second place by two shot over Schertz Clemens headed into the final round of play on Thursday.
Lindsey McCurdy of Buda, Hays leads the individual race with her 72. Dana Clary of Cedar Park and Chandler Thomas of Austin Vandergrift are T5 at 78.
