Volunteers Needed for State High School Playoffs in Austin

The Texas Golf Association is helping the University Interscholastic League with the scoring portion of the five different High School State Golf Championships to be held in Austin.   Most golf tournaments rely on a large volunteer base and there is a need for volunteers to assist with the live scoring portion of these tournaments.  These events take place on the public courses in Austin and run April 29th-May 3rd.  Volunteers are needed for any portion of these events and you can select the event, the course, and the time you would like to volunteer.

Kelly Rose of the Texas Golf Association asked that GolfAustin.Org notify the Austin golfing community about this need for volunteers to assist with the scoring in these tournaments.   This assistance should be a great upgrade for the players and parents involved.   The intent is to provide live scoring during the rounds and timely posing of results online.

GolfAustin.Org encourages you to volunteer your time for this cause.  In the process you will be around some of the best young golfers, both boys and girls, that our state has to offer and get to participate in these fun events at our local public courses. The scoring tasks are something that any of you can handle.  Help if you can.  To do so, click on the link below to obtain more information and to register as a volunteer.
