Austinites Fare Well At Texas Amateur

Doug Manor, who played college golf at the University of Oklahoma and now lists Austin as his home town, won the Texas Amateur by posting a final round 69 and twelve under par total to win by three shots. See Doug Manor's profile at this link.  Manor has just graduated from the University of Texas McCombs MBA program in Austin.  The tournament was played at Lakeside Country Club in Houston, Texas.

Aside from Manor's victory, Dillon Vanessen, who played for the2013  Lake Travis State Championship team and who will play College golf at St. Edwards University starting in the fall, finished T9.  Current Men's City Champion Brian Noonan and Former Men's City Champion Kody King finished at even par 288 and T18. Alex Ellis, who plays for the Collge of Charleston finished T27.

Barret Sandefur, Grady Bruce and Tim Hamm also showed well.
