Alex Levy shot 68 in the second round of the Firecracker to go with his first round 63 and posted a two day total of eleven under par, good for a two shot lead headed into the final round on Sunday. Levy is a former Austin High golfer now attending Rice University.
Michael, Cooper, a two time former champion of the Firecracker added a 66 to his first round 67 to get to nine under par and move into second place. Jack Cersosimo shot 65 to go with a first round 69 and Alex Ellis posted even par 71 to go with his first round 63. Both Ellis and Cersosimo are at eight under par and tied for third. Kody King is in fifth at -7 for the first two days of play. J. Hearn and Peach Reynolds at at -6 and tied for sixth. The field was reduced to the top 72 players and ties for the final round on Sunday. The cut fell at +6.
