As play begins at the U.S. Junior Amateur at Martis Camp Club in Truckee, California, Austin is being represented by Tobin Niblett and Matthew Perrine. Both players qualified to play in this prestigious tournament and begin their first round this afternoon (July 22) at 12:25 and 12:55 on the West Coast.
Similar to other USGA national championships, players play 36 holes of stroke play to determine which 64 players will be in the match play portion of the tournament. The field consists of the best juniors in the country along with those international juniors who also qualified to play. Canada, Columiba, Venezula, Australia and other countries have players in the field.
