Cooper Dossey shot 75-68=143 to post a one under par total at Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco, Texas and capture third place in the AJGA Hunter Mahan Tournament. Dossey’s final round 68 was the low final round of the tournament and he received a special putter cover in recognition of that accomplishment. Dossey plays for Vandegrift High School here in Austin.
Dossey recently made a verbal committment to play his collegiate golf at Texas A&M. Brandon Smith, who won the tournament, has also committed to A&M. Two other players in the tournament, who finished T4 and T8 have also committed to A&M.
Charles Kim, a junior at Cedar Park, finished T14 and Daniel Martinez, who also plays for Vandegrift finished T31.
In the girls division, Kennedy Swann from Austin finished T24.
