The Cedar Park and Vandegrift High School Boys golf teams placed 2nd and 3rd respectively at the Regional Golf Tournament held at Comanche Trace Golf Club in Kerrville, Texas.  Both teams will be advancing to the 4A State Championship to be played April 28-29 at UT Golf Club.

For the second year in a row Cedar Park finished first in District and 2nd in the regional tournament.  It is also the second year in a row that Vandegrift finished 2nd in the district tournament and third in the regional tournament.

In 2013 state golf tournament, Cedar Park finished second and Vandegrift finished third in the 4A division.  Both teams are expecting a great contest at the 4A State Championship, which is being played on Vandegrift’s home golf course at the University of Texas Golf Club.

Vista Ridge’s Scott Williams won his playoff to advance as an individual medalist to the 4A State Championship.

Congratulations to all the players and coaches who are advancing to state.  These programs are representing the Leander ISD well.
