Sadie Engleman 2017 State Junior Girls Champion
Sadie Engleman won the Texas Junior Girls Championship at Slick Rock Golf Course in Marble Falls by shooting 66-64-71. Her 15 under par total was good for a one shot victory over Hailey Jones.
A fifteen year old sophomore at Westlake High School, Engleman led wire to wire and started the day with a five shot lead. He closest competitor shot five under par to get to within one shot but Engleman parred the last two holes and secured the victory with her one under par 71.
Top Five In 2017 Texas Junior Girls
Sara Camarena and Madelyn Jones, both Austin junior golfers, placed 3rd and 5th respectively to give Austin players three of the top five spots.
