The UT Mens Golf Team will advance to the NCAA National Championshp Golf Tournament to be hosted by Oklahoma State May 31-June 5th. The Longhorns fired a final round one over par team total of 289 to secure a 5th place finish in the NCAA West Regional Tournament. The top five teams from the regional tournament advance to the finals. The solid effort during Saturday's final round was needed to advance to the NCAA finals as SMU finished just two shots behind the Longhorns in sixth place.
The Dylan Frittelli lead the Longhorn effort with a sixth place finish individually, shooting 68-73-71=212 for a four under par total. Frittelli was followed by Cody Gribble with 220, Toni Hakula at 221, Bobby Hudson at 224 and Julio Vegas shot 228.
