Seth Stuart Leads College of Charleston Play

Former Austinite Seth Stuart lead the College of Charleston to an 8th place finish in the Palmetto Intercollegiate tournament played in South Carolina.

Read about Seth's play in the following press release sent by Mark McEntire,  former Austinite and head coach of the College of Charleston.  Read about other Austin players at the College of Charleston Golf Team Website

Below is the press release and results for our last tournament.  We were very close to having an excellent tournament.  We got solid play from our seniors, Seth Stuart and Henry Smart.  Freshman Shane Rogan had his best tournament of the spring as well.

The tournament had a very strong field with teams from the SEC, ACC, Augusta State (defending national champions) and 6 Southern Conference schools.  We went 5 and 1 against our conference with a win against Chattanooga who is ranked 26th in the country.  We also got wins over Vanderbilt (SEC) and Maryland (ACC). We lost to Augusta State for the second time this year by only 1 shot.

It was a solid tournament and I feel like we can still improve.  We are next in action in Austin, Texas where we will get to play with the Number 1 team in the country and another excellent field. We would love to see our Texas supporters at the tournament  March 16 and 17 at the UT Golf Club.

Thank you for all your support and look forward to seeing many of you soon.

Go Cougars,

MSM
