Golf Austin and Grey Rock Golf Club will host the Austin Open on June 2-3. The tournament, which is normally held early in the year, was in conflict with the Lions Municipal Spring Partnership due to a change in the dates of the Lions Partnership. Instead of cancelling the event or hosting it in conflict with the Spring Partnership at Lions, the tournament was moved to the first weekend in June.
The Austin Open tournament will host an amateur division and professional division with prizes awarded with each division based on the number of entries and scores within each division. There will be an overall champion named based on the lowest gross score overall but the prize money will be distributed within each division.

Eligibility: Professionals and Amateurs with a verifiable GHIN Index of 3.0 or lower
Entry Fee:
Amateurs: $200
Professionals: $350 (the $150 difference will make up a large percentage of the Pro Purse)
(There is no tax on entry fee)
Entry Fee Includes: Green Fees, Cart Fees and Tax for 36 Holes, Tournament Prizes, Trophies, Lunch Saturday and Sunday, Tee Gift
Practice Round: There will be practice rounds available at 1:30 on Friday. Contestants to pay cart fee only ($18). There will also be an optional Gross Skins Game during the Practice Round ($20) for Contestants. In the event there are no skins, the money will be added to the Amateur and Professional prize purse proportionally by Skins Game entries.
Pairings: Pairings will be in Three Balls. Requests for Saturday Pairings will be accommodated where possible for tee time. Requests to be paired with players will not be considered. Pairings will be posted by Thursday May 31 at 12PM.
Competition: The competition will be 36 Hole stroke play. USGA Rules of golf will apply except where local rules are adopted by the Committee
Payout: There will be a separate purse for Amateurs and Professionals.
The top 10 places and ties will be paid in each division.
The top 5 places in each division will receive trophies.
The Austin Open Champion will be determined by the Low Score over Both Divisions
Ties: First Place Ties in each Division (And for the Overall Champion) will be determined by a sudden victory playoff beginning on Hole #18. The contestants will play #18, then #17, then #18 in that order until a winner is determined.
All other ties in each division will be determined by scorecard playoff. The playoff will match Sunday Scores, then score on #18 Sunday and going backwards until a winner is determined.
