The road to a state high school golf championship begins the first week of April when district high school golf tournaments swing into action. Regional tournaments will follow in Mid-April and the state championship tournaments will occur at during the last week of April and first week of May.
Westlake, Lake Travis and the Round Rock Teams will be favorites to advance to regional tournaments. Here is a schedule of district play.
Region 4 District 25A-Conference 4A with Lake Travis, Vandergrift, Cedar Part, Cedar Park Vista Ridge, Dripping Springs, Leander Rouse, Marble Falls and Round Rock Cedar Ridge will hold the girls tournament at Star Ranch April 2-3 while the boys will play at Delaware Springs April 9-10.
Region 2 District 15 Conference 5A with Austin, Austin Akins, Anderson, Ann Richards, Bowie, Westlake and Del Valle will hold the girls tournament at Lions Municipal on April 2-3 and the boys tournament at Jimmy Clay on April 2-3.
Region 2 District 16 Conference 5A with Georgetown, Leander, Pflugerville, Round Rock, R.R. McNeil, R.R Stoney Pt, and R.R. Westwook will hold the girls tournament at April 9-10 at Bluebonnet Golf Club and the boys tournament will take place at April 4-5 at Bluebonnet Golf Club.
