Cooper Dossey and Kristen Gillman of Austin finished first and second in their respective divisions of the Goodman Networks Junior at the Traditions Golf Club in College Station. Their performance in this AJGA event is a continuation of their excellent play throughout this golfing season.
Dossey, who plays for Vandegrift High School, shot 72-71-68 to win the Boys division by two shots. He is shown here with a putter cover and the winning trophy. The putter cover is given to the player with the low score in the final round. Dossey’s 68 captured the prize for low round and propelled him to victory in the tournament.
Gillman, who plays for Lake Travis High School, shot 76-71-74 to finish second in the Girls Division. She recently won the individual title in the Region II 5A regional golf tournament and led the Lady Cavs to the state tournament to be held later this month. See the story at this link.

Tobin Niblett, who plays for Vandegrift High School and won the 2013 Jerry Cole Sportsman Award, finished T13 in the Boys division. Vandegrift will also be participating in the state high school tournament.
