Jordan Sanders of Cedar Park shot a final round 70 to win the Texas Golf Association South Region Amateur. Sanders combined rounds of 69-69-70 to post eight under par and win by six shots over Jimmy Keener of San Antonio. John Dowdall finished third at one under par and Trevor Hyde of Kerrville finished fourth at even par. Austin’s Brian Noonan and Barrett Sandefeur finished T5. Sandefeur recorded the low round of the tournament on the final day with 66.
Sanders has just graduated from Cedar Park High School and will attend Texas Tech in the fall.
