Cooper Dossey shot a three under par 69 at the Traditions Course in College Station to grab a four shot lead in the individual race and pace the Vandergrift High School Boys Team to a 10 lead over Carrol and a 20 shot lead over Westlake in the Aggie Cup Invitational.
Dossey, who was named a Rolex All-American in 2014 continues his excellent play in 2015. Teammate Daniel Martinez shot 73 to gain a tie for second place individually. The overall consistency of the Vandergrift team provided a significant advantage in the team race with Brandon Hoff recording 74, Tobin Niblett 75 and Skyler Young 75. That consistency along with sub par round by Dossey provided a three over par team total and a commanding lead headed into the final round being held today, January 20th at Miramont Country Club in Bryan.
Nick Costello of Austin Westlake is tied for second in the individual race with a first round 73. Teammate Reese Ramsey shot 75.
