Madelyn Jones Wins Girls 13-15 Division of Austin Junior Championship
Madelyn Jones shot 74-73-71 to win the Girls 13-15 Division of the Austin Junior Championship. The juniors played rounds at Lions, Roy Kizer and Morris Williams over the course of three days.
The championship is the culmination of the summer long Austin City Junior Golf Tour, which consisted of five tournaments played at the various municipal courses. The tournaments included girls and boys from ages 8 to 18 with about 60 players per tournament. The staff at the various municipal courses and the Golf Department for the City of Austin Parks and Recreation have been busy and we are fortunate to have such an caring and productive group of people supporting the golfers of Austin. Thanks to all the staff for doing such a great job of helping Austin golfers, young and old.

City tournaments still to come this summer include the Austin Parent Junior, the Austin Women’s Championship, the Austin Men’s Championship and the Austin Senior Men’s Championship.
